Handmade Gold Jewelry

Gold Jewelry is coming back to fashion, and it comes in different hues and sizes. It is rare to find a piece of jewelry, handmade by a female goldsmith. Loredana Mandas is one of a few female goldsmiths working in southern Sardinia, Italy. She makes gold filigrees - a delicate kind of metalwork jewelry made by artisans. Stackable Rings with an Asian Flavor

Recently, I came across the Diamond Glistening Bat Ring, designed by Wendy Yue. Wendy is born in Hong Kong and trained in Vienna, and is known for her intricately designed jewelry. Her designs have an Asian element emboldened in them.

The bat symbolizes "福" or good fortune in Chinese can be worn separately from the diamond-set gold band or worn together. It can also be stacked with your wedding band or an eternity ring, depending on what is available in your jewelry collection, thereby personalizing the ring.

The Tie the Knot Serpent ring is set with pink sapphires. Wearing the pink sapphires serpent ring in the year of Snake does has some special meaning for some ladies.

The other interesting design is the The Throne Ring below. It reminds me of the 'The Frog Prince' fairy tale. The golden crown set with rubies can be worn on its own or with the black gold band set with diamonds. Better still, the black gold band can be worn by your loved one, while you wear the golden crown - as a set of his-and-her wedding bands.
